Number modifiers modify your matching attribute by their value until the task ends if revealed for a task (step 4). If revealed at any other point they have no effect.

Number modifiers with a positive number are considered positive modifiers. Those with a negative number are considered negative modifiers. A modifier with a value of “0” is considered neither positive nor negative.
