The trash pile is part of the episode area and contains cards that will no longer be used during an episode. All characters (and the corporation) share one collective trash pile.

When you trash a card, move it to the trash pile. (This automatically happens to Leads after completing their back side and to Chapter cards after you resolve their back side when you advance them.)

You are allowed to look at the cards in the trash pile at any time. Cards in the trash pile can be in any order of your choice and can be reordered at any time.

At the end of the episode, all cards in the trash pile are returned to their respective sets or character decks.

Clarifications:

• The trash pile is a zone. Cards in the trash pile are out of play.
• The trash pile is public information.
