Set

Cards are grouped into sets. A card’s set is indicated by the set icon in the lower-right corner. The number next to it shows how the cards can be sorted and how many cards are in the set in total.

The set of episode cards is relevant when assembling the staging deck and encounter deck during setup.

The set of player cards is relevant when playing with the pre-built character decks or using the light customization rules. The pre-built character decks can be identified by all cards having the same set icon. When using the full customization rules, the action card sets are important. They consist of 2 cards and can be identified by the set name right above the traits. See Action Card Set.

Clarifications:

  • Episode cards are sorted back into their sets after each episode, including all cards in the trash pile. The exception to this are cards that have been permanently added to your deck or tool kit (like cards recorded as your Ally).
  • The difficulty set uses different rules. See difficulty set.
