When you discard an encounter card, place it in the encounter discard pile.

Defeated Enemies and States are discarded to the encounter discard pile.

After resolving a Dilemma, it is discarded to the encounter discard pile.

You are allowed to look at the cards in the encounter discard pile at any time. Cards in the encounter discard pile can be in any order of your choice and can be reordered at any time.

At the end of the episode, all cards in the encounter discard pile are returned to their respective sets.

Clarifications:

• The encounter discard pile is a discard pile. Cards in the encounter discard pile are out of play.
• The encounter discard pile is public information.
