Impact

The number of Impact determines how powerful the basic effect of the task is. By default, tasks have 1 Impact.

Clarifications:

  • If you fail the task, you do not resolve the basic effect. Therefore, the number of Impact is irrelevant.
  • There is no upper limit to the number of Impact a task can have.
  • If you have more Impact than needed to complete the task, the excess Impact does nothing. (E.g. you cannot remove Secrets from another card with excess Impact.)
  • If an effect counts the number of Impact you need to complete a task, it does not look at how many Impact you already have. For example, for the sake of such an effect, you always need 3 Impact to complete an Investigate task on a card with 3 Secrets – even if you gain additional Impact through an effect. An example card with such an effect is »Follow Protocol« from Matthéo M’Baye.
