When starting a new campaign, you can use Nemesis cards to alter the difficulty set. Make this change in the Choose Difficulty step (before selecting your character).

• Dystopia Mode: Add 1 or more random Nemesis cards to the difficulty set.
• System Upgrade Mode: Exchange any number of »A Rigged System« cards from the difficulty set for the same number of random Nemesis cards.

For all gameplay purposes (including setup instructions) the selected Nemesis cards become part of the difficulty set. These changes to the difficulty set apply for the entire campaign. The Nemesis cards can be identified by the Nemesis symbol.
