Hacking cube slots are small boxes that can be covered by Hacking Cubes. This is normally done through performing a Hack task. (See: Performing a Task.)

States usually have a number of hacking cube slots in the top right corner. If all slots on a State are covered, they are defeated. (See: State.)

Some threat icons have hacking cube slots. If they are covered, ignore the threat. (See: Threat.)

Enemies or States can have a retreat box with hacking cube slots. If all slots of the card are covered, retreat it. (See: Retreat Box.)
