Cards are normally drawn from the encounter deck. But sometimes episodes introduce special decks from which cards can also be drawn.

When you draw a card, you take the top card of the specified deck, look at its front side, and resolve it. If multiple cards are drawn by the same effect, you draw them all at the same time, look at them, and then decide the order in which to resolve them.

Drawing a specific card — When you are instructed to draw a specific card (by name or with certain characteristics), you look at the top cards of the encounter deck one after each other until you find the first card matching and draw it. Then, reshuffle the deck.

Failing to draw a specific card — If you are unable to draw a specific card from a deck, because the card is not there, you shuffle the discard pile into the deck and repeat trying to draw this card. Should you fail again this way, then you ignore drawing the card and resolve all remaining effects to the best of your ability.

Clarifications:

• A drawn card does not enter your hand of Action cards and therefore cannot be discarded.
• Search, find, and draw are different terms.
